Why Sugaring?
With the increased interest in more holistic methods of caring for ourselves the need to provide a natural type of permanent hair removal system was necessary. Available now Body Sugaring USA Day Spa provides this much needed service. Women in Egypt call this type of hair removal method "Halawa". It is customary for the Egyptian women to remove all their body hair prior to marriage. These women make their own sugar paste and knead it on their kitchen tables. This service has not been known, much less available to American men and women until today. Our labratory in the US scientifically produces this product for us to use in a more Americanized and hygenic setting in the salon.
Body Sugaring is a safe and natural Egyptian method of permanent hair removal. Unlike waxing, it is applied at body temperature so there is no burning and it does not contain any irritating chemicals that might harm the skin. In addition, our body sugaring does not use a strip of paper or cloth to remove the paste and hair, we use the Advanced Method of Sugaring that is much gentler to your skin. WHAT IS THE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF BODY SUGARING?
The earliest reference to hair removal came from the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt and Greece. Early writings out of Mesopotamia tell of kings asking that maidens be brought to them "clean and smooth", that is hairless. Egyptian writings describe how slave girls, serving the Paharaoh, were expected to remove body hair. Hairy arms and bodies were considered socially to be unclean. During the time of the Turkish (Ottoman) Empire, the harem was an important part of court life, and the removal of body hair was considered an art. The tradition has been handed down through the generations, and certain Arabic people still practice total body hair removal, especially prior to their wedding night. Body sugaring diminishes hair growth quite rapidly. Live skin is left healthy because the application of sugar does not ivolve excessive heat as found in waxing. The high temperature required in waxing can result in injury to live skin cells. Sugar only sticks to dead skin cells and hair. Usually it will take from 4-6 weeks for hair to grow back, depending on the client and the type of hair.

Yes, however this is something that will take time depending on each individual. You will first notice your hair come in finer and lighter in color. Next you will notice patches of hair not growing back, and the frequency of growth slows down considerably. I have been Body Sugaring over two years. My treatments are full face, neck, legs, bikini line and glutes.
